Love is repaid by love
“It is not enough to love the young; they must know that they are loved.”
St. John Bosco
“If we want to have a good society, we must concentrate all our forces on the Christian education of the young. Experience has taught me that if we wish to sustain civil society then we should take good care of the young.”
St. John Bosco

“I absolutely love sharing my faith with these beautiful children. It is a joy to watch the middle schoolers grow closer to Jesus through prayer and scripture. We are so blessed to have our holy place of peace, our chapel, to go pray everyday. Working as TA is an amazing experience. I get to work with strong Catholic women and men. This community supports one another in all of their life endeavors. It is a true joy to go to work two days a week at SJBA!”
Lisa Kelsey, 7th grade Religion
“What makes St. John Bosco unique among all the schools that I have taught – and why I have stayed here as long as I have – is that this community genuinely cares. The administration has always supported me not only professionally, but personally, through the growth of my family, personal struggles, and even just in the daily grind of lesson plans and grading papers. The other teachers encourage and help each other. The parents trust that I have their children’s well-being at heart and seek ways to support my curriculum from home. The students are the type of young men and women that I hope my own children will become. This school has been an incredible blessing, and I can’t imagine myself anywhere else.”
Maria Banaszak, HS Latin
“I love teaching at St. John Bosco Academy because the classical curriculum fosters a deep integration of Truth seeking and meaningful dialogue in the classroom. The holistic approach surprises students when they see the connections across themes and between subjects. One of my favorite moments is when students light up, realizing how our discussions align with God’s greater Plan of Salvation. A student asked me one time, “we just talked about this theme in science! Did you plan this out with Mrs. Escarpio?” I just laughed and said, “No. It was the Holy Spirit’s doing!” And the Holy Spirit is doing great things at SJBA!”
Sarah Rueda, HS Literature & Philosophy
“I have always loved teaching because I truly believe it is my vocation aside from marriage and motherhood. Every day I am able to connect my faith with what I teach. Working at Bosco has taken it to the next level because I am surrounded by people who are all striving to help each other get to Heaven – it has been so good for my soul!”
Aileen Escaprio, MS & HS Science
“I love teaching at SJBA because it gives me the opportunity to help students embrace a love for learning in a faithful community that is filled with joy, hope and life! What a blessing!
Stacey Persichetti, 3rd grade
